The 2018 Stamford History Center (SHC) exhibit “Stamford On Fire” was a celebration of all Stamford Firefighters and was the conceptual idea of SHC Voumteer Daniel Burke. Dan is the son of former Stamford Fire Captain Daniel Burke”. Dan’s dream was to tell the story of the origins and development of the Stamford Fire Department and the Volunteer Fire Stations. “Stamford on Fire” contained a multitude of photographs, historic firefighting equipment and other relics of the past. Dan certainly fulfilled his dream and the dreams of many others with family in the Stamford Fire Service.
