A heavily involved 2-1/2 story wood frame building housing a well-known Stamford Doctor was destroyed by a suspicious early morning fire. The 3190-square-foot structure was declared a complete loss.
According to initial reports, flames were shooting as high as twenty-feet into the air. Five fire engines, three dozen firefighters, two ladder trucks and a rescue vehicle were dispatched to the two-alarm fire.
